Langsamkeit gefährdet die Deadline? Trödelei riecht nach Faulheit? Wer Offline ist, verpasst das Leben? Wer hier dreimal einen Haken setzt, ist reif für die SLOW-Revolution! Winfried Hille stellt in seinem neuen Buch mutige Thesen auf. Die wichtigste: Wer sich mehr Zeit wünscht, muss unvernünftig mit ihr umgehen.
Wer schon einmal an einem Seminar für Zeitmanagement teilgenommen hat, wird wissen, worum es da geht: den Tag durchtakten, To Do’s priorisieren, Aufgaben möglichst effizient, sprich in möglichst kurzer Zeit erledigen – und wozu das alles? Damit mehr Raum für neue Punkte auf der Agenda entsteht. Lebenszeit ist schließlich eine Ressource, die genutzt, gestaltet und geplant werden will. Oder etwa nicht?
Winfried Hille, Chefredakteur der Zeitschrift „bewusster leben“ gibt in seinem Buch „SLOW – Die Entscheidung für ein bewusstes Leben“ neue Denkimpulse. Sein Konzept des Slow Living, das alle Lebensbereiche – von der Arbeit bis zum Urlaub – umfasst, stützt sich vor allem auf innere Autonomie. Wer die Zeit dehnen will, muss für sich die Kunst der Langeweile etablieren, muss Zeiträume kreieren, in denen nichts ökonomisch Nützliches entsteht. Eine Fähigkeit, die wir meist irgendwann im fortgeschrittenen Kindesalter verlernt haben.

Und doch ist es wichtig, das Gehirn regelmäßig auf Stand-By zu schalten. Unser Denkorgan ist beim Müßiggang nämlich keineswegs untätig. Es regeneriert vielmehr, knüpft frische Verbindungen zwischen Nervenzellen und schafft Zusammenhänge zwischen gespeicherten Fakten. Kurzum: Schöpferische Pausen, zielloses Träumen, einfach mal nichts zu tun, ist ausgesprochen produktiv! Hilles Appell lautet deshalb: Entwickelt individuelle Verweigerungsstrategien. Habt Mut zur Lücke. Macht nicht überall mit. Seid nicht überall dabei. Leistet euch Zeitverschwendung als persönlichen Lebensluxus!
SLOW als Akt der Verweigerung
Ein guter Anfang könnte sein, die persönliche Mediennutzung zu überdenken. 6 Jahre unserer Lebenszeit verbringen wir durchschnittlich im Internet, 3 Stunden am Smartphone und wenn man allein das Löschen von Emails zusammenrechnet, gehen 8 Monate unserer Lebenszeit dabei drauf! Und während wir noch damit beschäftigt sind, zum Ausgleich unseres stressigen Bürojobs noch irgendwo Zeit für Sport herauszuschlagen, vergessen wir nur allzu oft, dass auch unser Geist Raum braucht, um die alltäglich Informationsflut zu verarbeiten. Zum Beispiel bei Begegnungen und Gesprächen mit anderen.
