Was immer Sie bei anderen erreichen wollen, Sie erreichen es nur, wenn Sie in der Lage sind, sich in die Welt der Gegenseite zu versetzen. Denn "die Gegenseite interessiert sich nicht für Ihre persönlichen Ambitionen". Anders gesagt, wenn Ihre persönlichen oder beruflichen Ziele damit zusammenhängen, was andere tun (Ihre Immobilie kaufen oder Ihr Buchmanuskript, einen Termin mit Ihnen vereinbaren oder in Ihr Unternehmen investieren, einen Kredit verlängern oder einem internen Vorschlag zustimmen), dann werden Sie Ihre Ziele nur dann erreichen, wenn diese Ziele auch in die Welt der Verhandlungspartner passen.
